             Moment of Launch

On Wednesday, December 12^th, members of Penn Wood’s Rocket Mod launched Estes Rockets in our large field. With a strong wind from the northwest, rockets were launched into the wind at approximately 70 degrees from horizontal. The trajectory of the rocket flight, combined with drift, brought our eleven rockets back safely back to our field. Students experimented with fin designs and customized their rockets.  Students also created their own bottle rockets with some great results.
