Our Technological World

    Technology utilizes science to solve problems and promote a better understanding of issues that impact the quality of life on this planet.  We will explore the concept of using technology in a responsible way which works toward sustainable growth and use of our resources.  Over a billion people on this earth live with no clean water and over three billion live with no sanitation system. Less than one percent of the water found on our planet is now drinkable.  How can science be used to promote the health of our population and the protection of our resources? Our students will take on the role of international science consultants but will also be encouraged to "think globally and act locally", as issues in our own country will be discussed.

    Students investigate a wide variety of applications of technology with activities and problems to solve which promote critical thinking and environmental stewardship.
